Once upon a time, the patients of a Chiropractor asked him to recommend a pillow that would help their neck condition.  The doctor tried several brands already on the market, but could not find one that he would endorse.

He asked one of his patients, a seamstress, to help him design the pillow he was looking for.  He wanted good old-fashioned comfort like grandmother's feather pillow, combined with modern cervical bio-mechanic support.

After 6 months of trial and error, "The Pillow" was born May 4, 1994.

Patients were so enthusiastic about this product that the word soon spread.  Other doctors wanted to provide "The Pillow" for their patients also.  To serve others' health needs, Health Concepts Design, Inc. was born.

"The Pillow" accompanied patients on car trips, but they indicated that it was too bulky to take with them on airplanes.   To address this need, "The Companion" was born - the perfect travel companion.
